Seroflo, also known as Salmeterol+Fluticasone, is a combination inhaler used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains two active ingredients: salmeterol, a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA), and fluticasone, a corticosteroid.

Uses:

Asthma:Seroflo is used for the long-term management of asthma in patients who require a combination of a LABA and an inhaled corticosteroid.
COPD: It is also used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients with a history of repeated exacerbations.

How it works:

It helps to open the airways in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. It's a long-acting bronchodilator that works over a 12-hour period.Salmeterol:
Fluticasone: It is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, helping to prevent asthma symptoms.

Side Effects:

Common side effects may include headache, throat irritation, hoarseness, and a fungal infection in the mouth (thrush). Serious side effects may include an increased risk of asthma-related death, especially in patients with severe asthma.

Prescription and Dosage:

Seroflo is a prescription medication, and the dosage is individualized based on the patient's condition and response to treatment. It is typically administered as an inhalation spray. The prescribed dosage strength (25/125 or 25/250) will depend on the severity of the condition.

Precautions:

Seroflo is not a rescue medication and should not be used for the rapid relief of acute bronchospasm or asthma symptoms. It is intended for long-term control.Not for Rescue Use:
